One of Bupa Care Services key goals is to provide quality of life and care for all our residents. Our aim is to ensure residents are treated with dignity and can maintain their independence wherever possible. Our residents also experience a sense of privacy and freedom of choice in a safe and caring environment.

Bupa Care Services's services range from low care through to high care with ageing in place at many of our facilities. We also have a number of facilities providing extra services.

Our focus is on a dynamic holistic approach, responsive to our residents’ needs and desires. We deliver a coordinated and informed approach to achieving quality care outcomes for you.

Bupa Care Services employs, trains and develops people who are passionate about taking care of the lives in our hands. Our people are caring, committed and respectful. They believe in what they do and share a passion for providing quality aged care for every one of our residents.

Our vast network brings together a wealth of expertise and experience, and our staff regularly participate in internal and external professional education programs.

Meals at Bupa Care Services

Sharing good meals is an important part of everyone’s life, which doesn’t change as we grow old. Meals at Bupa Care Services are an essential part of creating a rich and interesting way of living for our residents, and are full of flavour, varied and nutritious.

We are very lucky at Bupa Care Services to have on board Australia’s icon of the kitchen, Margaret Fulton, OAM, as our food consultant. Margaret is known and loved throughout Australia for her pioneering work in the kitchen, and her signature dishes, prepared lovingly by our chefs, are enjoyed by all our residents.

Being part of things – Activities and outings

Our Recreational Activities Officer at each facility coordinates a comprehensive and creative lifestyle program. You can be part of classes and group activities, forming friendships with other residents and staff, learning new things and enjoying time with others. We understand that you, like us all, need the stimulation and enjoyment of being with others.

We arrange regular outings in all our facilities so that you can stay connected to the wider world. Lunches, walks, gardens, the theatre, movies – they all keep you involved and active, a vital part of your community.

Staying connected

We know that you also need to keep intimate connections of family and friends. We encourage your family to maintain their vital role in your care, because we know that nothing can replace your most intimate relationships with your children, grandchildren, siblings and partner.

Regular meetings of residents and relatives are held to discuss matters of interest, general issues and other suggestions.

We get to know the families of our residents so they feel comfortable visiting and talking to staff. One of our resident's family has said, "We are thrilled at the way everybody greets us and our children and how my grandmother is treated with respect."

It’s about you

We give you time and space to be yourself. We respect your cultural background, and will help you maintain links with cultural traditions. In many of our residencies, we have signed memoranda of understanding with local ethnic communities.

We listen to you when you tell us about your interests and hobbies, and find ways to keep you involved in the things you love.
